SULLIVAN - Marie Adams, 82, of Sullivan died Friday (Sept. 19, 2003) in Sullivan Health Care Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, with the Rev. Dr. David Leslie officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials: Lincolnland Hospice.
Marie was born Nov. 9, 1920, in Bruce, the daughter of William M. and Caroline Jackson Miller. She was a member of Sullivan First United Methodist Church. She had worked at Brown Shoe Co., Sullivan, and then was a cook for Sullivan High School. She married August E. "Auggie" Adams on June 8, 1940, in Bethany.
Surviving are her husband of Sullivan; son, Loren Adams and wife Deborah of Decatur; daughter, Carolyn Horsman and husband David of Sullivan; grandchildren, Kimberly Adams of Los Angeles, Calif.; Jeff Adams of Indianapolis, Ind.; Kari Horsman Prokes and husband Shawn of Fort Collins, Colo.; Krystal Horsman of Bloomington; great-grandson, Jonah Prokes of Fort Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
