Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda P. Barron of Star Route Booneville, were conducted on Friday afternoon at East Prentiss Churct with Rev. Mr. Wiggington officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.
Mr. Barron died Thursday at 7 a.m. in the Northeast Miss. Hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Prentiss County, a member of the Methodist Church, and a housewife. She was 81.
She leaves four sons, Houston Barron of Thrasher, Baxter Barron, True Barron and Fletcher Barron, all of Booneville; four daughters, Mrs. Otha Hester of Booneville, Mrs. Bert Williams of Memphis, Mrs. Homer Wheeler of Corinth, and Mrs. David Soto of Santiago, Calif.; one brother, John Barron of Belmont; four sisters Mrs. S a r a h Brown, Mrs. Alma Brown, Mrs. Minnie Moore and Mrs. Willie Gentry, all of Belmont; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
