-Malachi Denver Bean-

Malachi Denver Bean, of St. James, was born on October 6, 2009, at Rolla, a son of Joseph Allen Bean and Miranda Coleen Smith Davis, and departed this life at 9:43 a.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011, at his residence in St. James. Malachi had attained the age of 1 year, 5 months and 14 days. Malachi enjoyed eating and became very excited and would come running when he would hear a bag crinkle. He loved music and dancing, his fire truck and playing the music over and over. Malachi never met a stranger and would smile at anyone and make them smile. He had a mischievous personality and sometimes was a "Drama King", enjoying having his picture taken and saying "cheese". He adored his older sister, Stacie, was Granny Corale's "Sugar Bug" and was well loved by all his family, friends and extended family. Those left to mourn the passing of Malachi include: his father, Joseph Bean, Fulton; his mother, Miranda Davis, Mt. Grove; three sisters, Infinity Smith, State of Minnesota; Summer Bean, Denver, Colorado; Stacie Smith, St. James, and a fourth sister expected on July 26, 2011; paternal grandparents, Roger and Patricia Bean, Dixon; paternal great-grandmother, Barbara Wright, Dixon; maternal grandparents, Val and Corale Davis, Mt. Grove; maternal great-grandfather, Leonard Layton, Licking; special family, Jeremiah and Claire Hay, St. James; special grandmother, Theresa Rugg, St. James; and uncles; aunts; cousins and other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted for Malachi at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with Pastor Matt Forrest, Vineyard Church, Rolla officiating. Vocal selections of "Amazing Grace", "The Old Rugged Cross", and "With Hope" were played for the service. Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Honorary pallbearers for Malachi were Taylor Francis, Clifty Yoakum, Dave Moffet, T.J. Jones, Val Davis II, Darren Stover, Jeremiah Hay, and Dale Templeton. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Malachi Bean Memorial Fund C/O Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box EE, Dixon, Missouri 65459.
