Larry worked for the U.S Postal Service in Oklahoma City. Larry loved music, playing poker, working on his Mustang, but his greatest love was taking care of his grandchildren. Larry is survived by his parents Gordon and Mary Blackmon of Altus, Oklahoma, his loving wife Elisabeth of McLoud, Oklahoma, two sons; Larry Blackmon Jr. and Michael Butts illinois, one daughter Annaliese Blackmon of McLoud, Oklahoma, one sister Linda Cartwright and her husband Ron of Altus, Oklahoma, one sister-in-law Maria Southwell and her husband Daniel of Minnesota, five grandchildren; Kristen and Christopher Hackney, and Shayla, Kailey, and Michael Butts, nieces and nephews Jill Jordan, Matt Vann, Madison and Emma Jordan as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Monday May 15, 2006 at Browns Funeral Chapel in Luther Oklahoma with Bro. Charles Wilson Officiating. Larry 's headstone reads year of birth 1959 but in fact was 1955 cemetary notified of error.
