Funeral services for A. S. Arnold will be conducted at the family residence, 717 Williams avenue at 10 o'clock tomorrow. The services will be under the auspices of the G.A.R. The Rev. Mr. Brooks will officate.

Mr. Arnold was born April 14, 1842 and was married to Miss Laura Sutton September 4, 1865. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs W.A. Sain of Lincoln and Mrs. Carrie A. Johnston of Hastings. Mr. Arnold was a long a resident of Hastings. He conducted a blacksmith shop at the corner of Third street and St. Joe avenue and was of an inventive turn of mind.


Bradford Star, Towanda, Pennsylvania - April 22, 1915

Aner S. Arnold, a native of Warren, Bradford county, died April 6, 1915 at his home in Hastings, Neb. He was one of the five sons of Wm. Arnold who served the Union in the Civil War. After serving in the 35th Pa. Militia he enlisted in the 16th N. Y. Independant Battery, remaining until the close of the war. Mr. Arnold was a blacksmith and for some years followed his trade in Towanda.
