Ruby Nell Allred age 92, of Joppa passed away Wed. March 6, 2019, at Diversicare of Arab. Mrs. Allred was born on August 23, 1926, in Cullman County, AL the Daughter of Eddie Francis and Vera Vida Belle Waldrop Hooten. She was married to Billie Joe “Bill” Allred who passed away on June 9, 2003. She worked for Blue Bell years ago and she was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Survivors include her Daughter: Jo (Darrell) Harris of Joppa; Brothers: Clyde Hooten of Fairview and James Hooten of Birmingham; Grandchildren: Amanda (Nathan) Williams of Union Grove, Heather (Joe) Bryan of Joppa; Great Grandchildren: Baylee Williams, Drew Williams, Cody Harris, Peyton Harris-DeFoor, Emma Cobbs, Emma Bryan and Ella Bryan. She was preceded in death by her Parents, 7 Brothers and Sisters, Husband: Bill Allred; Grandson: Ashley Harris. Funeral Service will be Sunday March 10, 2019, at 2 PM at Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Sherman Bailey and Bro. Carl Cash officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Sat. from 6-8 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel and her body will lie in state in the Church one hour prior to the service.
