Last residence Akron, Plymouth, Iowa. Sarah and Roy farmed the Peder (Roy`s father) Abrahamson farm. In 1965 (when Roy was 64 and Sarah 62 years old) they came back from town and found their home completely destroyed by fire. The only treasured family furniture peices saved were those that had been put in the garage for refinishing. Sarah especially missed the family pictures... everything was gone. All the Abrahams and Sommervolds searched through their photographs and gave Sarah and Roy copies. She was so proud of the family pictures as they were a treasure once lost - now recovered. Sarah and Roy built a new home further to the front of the farm where there was a slight rise which made a perfect building site.
