Monument erected by Chambers County Historical Commission in 2006.

Citizen of the Republic of Texas Medallion provided by Solomon Barrow Chapter, Baytown, Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Elizabeth Winfree Barrow was the daughter of Phillip & Sarah Hayes Winfree. She married Solomon Barrow about 1822 in Louisiana. Elizabeth, Solomon and their children were instrumental in settling Point Barrow during the time of the Republic of Texas.
