Ann L Meikrantz was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, the youngest of 3 children born to Howard Jacob and Jane (Roth)Meikrantz. Ann grew up in Carbon County but attended Hazleton High School and graduated in the class of 1935. Before her retirement, Ann worked as a bookkeeper and a seamstress for Sage Sportswear. Some time after 1940 Ann married to Edward H. Bachman. They were the parents of two daughters: Diane and Barbara. Ann died at Hazleton General Hospital. Her funeral was held at Rosenstock Funeral Home with the Rev. Jane Hess officiating, with burial following in Sky-View Memorial Park Cemetery.
