Roger Lee Adams

Roger Lee Adams, 56, died March 24, 2003, as a result of an automobile accident.

Roger was born March 1, 1947, a son of Norris G. and Bessie B. Adams of Clinton, Utah.

At the time of his tragic death, Roger owned and was CEO of Backyards and Billiards in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He married Cherrie Lowe of Clinton, Utah. They were later divorced. He was later married to Ann MacMonagle, and Marilyn Rogers.

Roger accomplished many successes in the business world: including Vice President of Cal Spas International. Roger was named the 2003, Small Business Man of the Year for Colorado (one of only 16 nominated in the nation), and was invited to Washington, D.C., by President Bush to receive this honor.

Roger was an avid musician and was proficient with many instruments, including the organ. He was an accomplished guitarist and wrote and recorded many songs. Roger was a close friend of recording artists John Stewart of the Kingston Trio, and Buffy Ford Stewart, who inspired him, Kenny and Jan in many musical endeavors. Roger had many devoted and loyal friends and employees, including Greg and Mary, John M. Stacee, Pat, Bob G., Jason, Dave (two), Mark, Terra, Peggy, Jeff, Beverly, Destiny, Tom, Jon and Bill, and Sandy, his devoted housekeeper. Hewill most certainly be watching and celebrating their future successes in life.

Roger is survived by his two daughters, Kristen and Rachel, both of whom he dearly loved, and five brothers, Dean (Helene), Aurora, IL; Clark (Lois), Washington Terrace, UT; Blair(Shirley), Doug (Kay), and Neil, Layton, UT, and his very special friends, Donnielle and Alexa. He was preceded by his parents, Norris G. and Bessie B. Adams.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist"s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, with Bishop Craig L. Adams, presiding. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.

A Memorial service will be held Monday, April 7, 2003 at 6 p.m. at Swan Law Cascade Chapel.
