1911 - 2005

Mrs. Angie Harris, age 93, of Colorado City, died Sunday evening in a local hospital. Services were held Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Monday and Dr. Sammy Elliott officiating. Burial followed in the Colorado City Cemetery, under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris was born November 23, 1911 in Southern Mitchell County to James B and Edna Browne Hartsfield and had been a lifelong resident. She married William E. Harris on September 14, 1942, in Colorado City. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1994. She was a homemaker and farmed wtih her husband for many years. She was a member of the Looney Home Demonstration Club for more than fifty years. She was a lontime member of the Mitchell County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a former member of the Payne Baptist Church and a member of Calvary Baptist somce 1975.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Rex and Karen Harris of Muleshoe, Billy and Janie Harris of College Station, Dwayne and Debbie Harris of Colorado City and Eldon and Kay Harris, also of Colorado City; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Harris was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
