Peter had two brothers, Mathias and John and one sister, Katheryn (Diederich) Traynor. All were born in Germany.
Peter celebrated his 16th birthday aboard ship while coming to the United States. He and his wife Rose Marie (Johnston/Brannen) lived in the Tulsa area from 1919 to 1955. He was custodian and caretaker for Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa for thirty six years and retired at age 81.
Peter and Rose had two children, Bernard Joseph, and Mary Frances, Diederich.
When Peter died the survivers included three step-sons, Charles P. Brannen, Tulsa, James Henry of San Antonio, Texas; and Fenton Leroy Johnston of Elwood, Indiana; a sister, Mrs Katheryn Traynor, Chicago; and nine grandchildren.
Peter is buried next to his wife Rose and son, Bernard.
