Both Jimmy Dale, age 32 and Florence Ellen Bowers, age 31, were found by relatives in their 233 N. High Street home. Both were deceased. They had just moved in and is believed that they suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning.

He was born to William Penn & Helen Dearth Brown. He was survived by his mother, Mrs. Richard (Helen) Shoemaker, his father & step-mother, Mr. William P.(Mary) Brown; his grandmother, Mrs. Goldie Ellison, Springfield; a son, Jimmy; a brother, Richard C. Brown; two step-sisters, Mrs. Doug (Phyllis) Ray and Mrs. Richard (Juanita) Bolen, Columbus; and three step-brothers, Keith Shoemaker, Ellis Shoemaker, & Hobart Harris.
He was predeceased by brother, Douglas.
