Mrs. Anna Burkholder, widow of James Burkholder,
passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Annie Bricker, Big Spring avenue, Thursday morning.

Mrs. Burkholder has lived in this community for
many years and was well known. She was 81 years
of age. Surviving her are four daughters; Mrs.
Jacob Negley, Mrs Anna Bricker, Mrs. George Stum,
and Mrs Robert Hoover, and two sons Charles of
Upper Frankford and James of near Orrstown.

Funeral services were held at the Bricker home
Saturday at two o'clock. The Rev. P. S. Kelly,
pastor of Zion Lutheran church, of which the
deceased was a member, officiated interment
in Upper Frankford Lutheran cemetery.

James and Anna Barbara moved their 4 oldest
children west to Kansas on a wagon train, while living
there two more children were born before returning
to Pa. where the last two children were born.
