Andrew was born Erik Andreas Ellingsen in Skogn, Levanger, Norway, son of Elling Jacobsen. Married Petrine Pedersdatter 22 Aug 1866 in Trondheim, Domkirke, Norway. Came to USA in 1869. His children were, Amelia, Anna, Ida, Pauline, Petra & Peter Albert. Andrew died at age 77. Andrew was the first postmaster, in Little Falls, working out of his home. He helped to build Little Falls Lutheran Church & Cemetery. His son Peter placed an anvil & auger in the cemetery as a headstone, for his parents, these were brought by Andrew from Norway, his trade was blacksmith.
