Douglas Earl Clark, 75, Pleasant Green Hill Road, Crofton, died at I p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at his home following a brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home With the Rev. Dan Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Hamby Cemetery.

A native of Christian County, he was born Jan, 5, 1926, the son of the late Ernest and Norma Lillian Proffitt Clark. He was a former chief of police in Crofton and was a farmer. He was a member of the New Palestine Baptist Church. His wife, Virginia Lee Jones Clark, died in 1957.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Stanley, Christian County, Julie Marcellia Henn, North Wilkesboro, N.C.•, a sister, Alma Haydon Price, the county; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
