"Mr. C. W. Smothers died after a stroke of paralysis. As a result of a stroke of paralysis a few days before, Mr. C. W. Smothers one of the prominet farmers of the Cedar Grove community, four miles north of the city, died at his home there on Thursday night.
Mr. Smothers, who was 65 years old was a native of Illinois but came to Arkansas from Missouri and had been living in Clark county for about 25 years. His remains where buried in the DeGray cemetery on yesterday afternoon.
The deceased is survied by his widow and six children, Mrs. Watson Bledsoe, Mrs. Carlie Bledsoe, Mrs. Henry Thomas, and Miss Lucille Smothers, and Ralph and Joe Smothers."
He was the husband of Alice Lucille Kent.
