Garfield Byers, son of Elizabeth Lipford and David Byers, husband of Mattie Michael/Mikeal, father of Edgar, Myrtle, Blaine, Kermit, Elizabeth Byers Bartos and Wilhemina Byers Disney. Killed in a mine accident. The grave stone is broken but parts of the name are visable as are the dates. A photo is available on the vagenweb Wise County webpage, in Old Coeburn Cemetery, as unknown number one. His death certificate is also on the Wise County page under Garfield Byres.
