Chris Anderson, Native Avocan, Dies in Oregon
Avoca--Chris Anderson, 45, native Avocan and an oil company salesman here 12 years, died Sunday in Portland, Ore., where he had moved more than two years ago. Services will be held at Avoca Thursday at 2 p.m., the Blust-Berthusen funeral home in charge of Rev. Joseph Gerlt. Burial will be in Avoca cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Gracey in Portland, his mother, Mrs. Christine Anderson of Avoca, three brothers, Pete of Avoca, James, Hancock, and Sam C. Anderson, Fox Lake, Wis., and six sisters, Mrs. William Busse of Nora Springs, Mrs. T. C. Togerson of Mason City, Mrs. William Wiese and Mrs. Carl Eggers of Avoca, Mrs. Chris Anderson of Alden and Mrs. A. T. Chrisinger of Pensocola, Fla.
