Donald Leroy Crawford, 71, of Salem, Ark., son of the late Roy Horace and Euna (Kem) Crawford, was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Springfield, Mo. He died Dec. 15, 2008, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
Don was united in marriage to Imogene Stroud on April 27, 1957, at Thayer, Mo. He spent his working years as a ground lineman for the North Arkansas Electric Cooperative. He was a member of the Gee and Haw Wagon Club and the West Plains Wagon Club. He served as a board member for the Fulton County Farm Bureau, Fulton County Fair Association and the Ozark Mountain Music Makers. Don served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church and the Christian Men and Boys Retreat.

He is survived by: his wife, Imogene Crawford of Salem; son, Kenny Crawford and wife Lora of Camp; two daughters, Kathy Grissom and husband James of Greenbrier, Ark., and Konnie Coleman and husband Tim of Mountain Home, Ark.; one sister, Jean Simer and husband Alan of Thayer; seven grandchildren, Amanda Browning, T. J. Grissom, Amber Clinkingbeard, Brad Coleman, LeAnn Grissom, Jennifer Crawford and Andrew Crawford; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Karen Clinkingbeard; his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Dec.19 at the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment followed in Burk's Chapel Cemetery at Camp, Ark., under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem.

Pallbearers were T. J. Grissom, Brad Coleman, Andrew Crawford, Aaron Browning, Kevin Pendergrass, Jim Mills, Danny Simer and Ken Kirkland.

Honorary pallbearers were the Gee and Haw Wagon Club.

Memorials preferred to Burk's Chapel Cemetery, Salem First Baptist Church or the Christian Men and Boys Retreat.
