Obituary located at the Jackson County Historical Society:

E. Bellman, a well known Jackson county resident for years, died Sunday, May 16 (1937) at St. Ann's home in Chester. Mr. Bellman had been ill about six months of a throat infection. He was born June 18, 1889 at Altenburg, MO, and had moved to Jacob at the age of seventeen. The last three years he resided in Mascoutah. He was married September 18, 1904, to Martha Boehme and the wife and following children survive: Stella Moeckel, Neunert; Cordelia Moeckel, St Louis, MO; Leona Goeschel, Mascoutah; Elmer Bellman, Chester; and Calvin, at home. Three brothers and a sister also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Lutheran church in Neunert Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. H. C. Schreck of Chester officiating and internment will be in the Lutheran cemetery at Neunert.

The son, Elmer Bellman, is well known in Murphysboro as he was employed at the Crawshaw Funeral home a few years ago. While in this city he made his home with Rev. And Mrs. Schneider.
