Mrs. Grace Acuff, 72, of R. 5, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was a native of Monroe County, the daughter of Robert and Nora Matson Figg. She was a member of the Clear Creek Christian Church, and she taught in Owen and Monroe county schools and in the city schools in Edinburg, Ind., before her retirement 10 years ago.

She was the widow of William L. Acuff, who passed away in 1960.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Annice) Engelbart of St. Louis; and on sister, Mrs. Carl (Anna) Taylor of Knightsville, Ind.; two brothers, Norman Figg of Stinesville and Estelle Figg of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Day Funeral Home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Clear Creek Christian Church with the Rev. Ralph Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Paul and Don Taylor, Don Arthur, Max Robertson, David Neal, Ronald Wikle, Roger Stafford, and Steven Stafford. Honorary pallbearers include Lee Acuff, George Acuff, Carl Taylor, Eugene Stansifer.

Friends may call at the Day Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. today.
