Mary Bardwell, 61, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, June 8, 2009, at Woodstock Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born on June 23, 1947, in Warren, Ark., she was the daughter of the late James and Willie B. (Lowe) Frazier. She received her early education in Arkansas and was a graduate of Bradle County High School. Following high school she moved to Kenosha.
On Nov. 22, 1969, she married Harry G. Bardwell at Second Baptist Church.
Mary was employed as Noon Supervisor at Tremper High School. She then worked at Shady Lawn East Nursing Home in housekeeping.
Mary was a member of Second Baptist Church. Her favorite hobbies were shopping and listening to blues.
Survivors include her husband, Harry G. Bardwell of Kenosha; two daughters, Tarshish and Tawana Bardwell both of Kenosha; a brother, Dean Frazier of Warren, Ark.; and a sister, May Brown of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamela Bardwell; brothers, Frank, James Jr. and Calvin and her sisters, Wanda Jane and Georgia Conley.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Steven Schwimmer, the facility at Woodstock Health and Rehabilitation Center and Gentiva Health Care for the wonderful care they provided for Mary.
