Kathryn Helen Spencer was the daughter of Adelard Joseph and Gertrude Mageau.
Kathryn attended Purdue University and attained degrees in Chemistry and Home Economics. On November 21, 1942, Kathryn married Hugh Burns Spencer. During World War II she worked at Studebaker as a chemist, helping to build bomber engines. After Hugh completed medical school and residency, the family moved to Oklahoma.
Kathryn is survived by three daughters, five grandchildren, and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Betty Rollf.
