Glenn was the son of Thomas Morrow and Adelia Ann (Shields) Cree. He was born on the farm in Cass County where his grandparents, Samuel Walker and Elizabeth (Welsh Cree) settled in 1851. He had 7 siblings who reamined in Cass County. He graduated from Indiana State Normal School (now Indiana State University) in June 1925. He was a school teacher his whole life.
