He enjoyed working in his yard, guns, old vehicles, crossword puzzles, frying fish, watching The History Channel and The Discovery Channel, and most of all, spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by both parents, sister Diane Coker, and his daughter Jamie Daugherty Shaw. He is survived by his wife Kathy Green Daugherty, Daughters, LaDonna Hembree of Knoxville TN, Angela Sexton Akins and Leslie Sexton Burton (Michael) of Lake City, Florida. He is also survived by his brothers, David Daugherty (Helen), of Chattanooga, TN, Raymond Daugherty (Deniece) of Dalton Georgia, and Richard Daugherty of Dayton TN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jordan Akins (Whitney), Kaylie Burton Stevens (Kyle) of Cape Coral, FL, Michaela Burton, Austin Akins, Lauren Shaw, Katelyn Burton, Elizabeth Hembree of Knoxville TN, and Abigail Akins. Great grandchildren Karsyn and Kinsley also survive.
