SALEM - Esther Mary Aleshire passed away April 27 at the age of 86. She was born December 21, 1920 in Minot, North Dakota to Ralph and Aplonica (Steinmetzer) Peoples.
Esther was raised in North Dakota. She married Delmar Aleshire and moved to Salem in 1941. She was active in First Presbyterian Church and South Salem Seniors.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Del in 1986.
Those who wish may contribute to South Salem Seniors or Shriner's Hospital. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 4 and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5. A Celebration of Esther's life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5. All at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
