BROTHER OF MRS HT PIERCE DIES OF HEART ATTACK
Mrs. HT Pierce, 562 East North Street, received word that her brother, Rolla M Abbott, was found dead Wednesday at his residence in Danvers, and that apparently he was the victim of a heart attack. He was 57 years of age.
Mr. and Mrs. Pierce left today for Danvers, and it was stated that funeral arrangements had not been completed at this time.

Rolla M Abbott, 57 years old, former resident of the Abingdon, Berwick and Galesburg communities, died on Wednesday at his home in Danvers, IL, where he suffered a stroke. The body will be brought to Abingdon and funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church here at 2:30 PM Saturday and interment will be at the Abingdon Cemetery. Rev L Hadaway will be in charge of the services.
Mr. Abbott is survived by his wife and by a son, Frank, who is in the armed forces at some unknown location. There are also three sisters, Mrs. HT Pierce, Galesburg; Mrs. Fred Dollinger, Cameron, and Mrs. Ella Norris, Bedford, IA.

Funeral services for Rolla M Abbott, who died at Danvers, were held at 2:30 PM Saturday at the First Christian Church with the Rev L Hadaway in charge. The song service was by Wilamerie Baker and Dorothy Raines and piano selections were by Mrs. Marvin Ray.
Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Henry Harshbarger, RH Tabb, Fred Pratt, Donald Stephan, J Warren Hampton and Lewis Smith. Interment was in the Abingdon Cemetery.
Rolla M Abbott was born in Hopkins, MO, June 25, 1888, and was at the time of his death, 55 years, 9 months and 4 days old. He was one of nine children of George and Sarah Bailey Abbott. He came to Illinois when twelve and resided in Danvers several months before his death.
Mr. Abbott attended school at Abingdon and married Grace Bernice Windom at Cameron on July 18, 1923, with the Rev DE Hughbanks performing the ceremony. The Abbotts were the parents of a son, Frank, now ill in a hospital at Washington. His mother died several years ago. Mr. Abbott was again married to Mrs. Pearl Hawkinson, September 26, 1942, who survives together with the son, and three sisters, Mrs. Stella Dollinger, Cameron; Mrs. Pearl Pierce, Galesburg, and Mrs. Ella Norris, Bedford, IA, besides a number of nieces and nephews.
