Betty L. Bell, 86, of Hillsdale passed away Sunday (March 17, 2013) at home. She was born December 31, 1926, in Tekonsha to Frank and Muriel (Keller) Hartley and was a former employee of Wagner Manufacturing in Reading. Betty was past president of the Reading Ladies VFW Auxiliary, enjoyed cooking, playing Bingo, and making quilts.

On October 20, 1945, she married Charles Bell and he survives in Hillsdale. Also surviving are three daughters, Sharon Kuhn of Hillsdale, Wilma (Raymond) Davis of Reading, and Judy (R.J.) Richards of Jonesville; one son, Robert (Karen) Bell of Mason; one sister, Edna Belle Schaffer of Coldwater; one brother, Rex (Alice) Hartley of Hillsdale; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Dorothy Denbrock, and two brothers, Dale & Kenneth Hartley.

Funeral services at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading with Reverend Alan Fenstermaker and Pastor Craig Pahl officiating. Interment will follow in Cambria Cemetery #2.
