Robert Michael Donohoe was born in Wilmington Delaware on March 23, 1923. He married Dorothy Delaney at a young age and he had 6 children, John, Mike (Jr), Danny, Joe, Mary and Jimmy.
He was predeceased by his wife, Penney Gilbert Donohoe of Panama City.
He is survived by his sister, Sister Catherine Donohoe of Wilmington, Del.,six children, John Delaney Donohoe, Robert Michael Donohoe Jr., Daniel Anthony Donohoe, Joseph Henry Donohoe, Mary Catherine Donohoe Corder and James Raymond Donohoe; four stepchildren, Gail Marie Perry, Catherine Hicks, Danny Gilbert and Shirley Dunaway; and many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
He joined the Marines and was an enlisted finance specialist during world war II. After his time in the Marines, he got out and tried his hand at business; however, he quickly decided to return to the military in the newly formed United States Air Force.
Between the Marines and the Air Force, Robert had completed 30 years of military service; traveling all over the world including Greenland, Germany, and 2 tours of Italy. He settled down at his last duty station in Panama City Florida in 1970.
There he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, an organization to which he had dedicated 52 years of his life. He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and active in many civic organizations. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Marine Corps League.
He also was a Eucharistic Minister for St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Panama City and for a while lived on the premises of the church grounds. He moved to Tallahassee in August of 2006.
Robert Donohoe passed away peacefully at The Plantation off of St. Augustine Road early Sunday morning on July 1st.
He had a brother, John, who was a Diocesan Priest in Delaware, an older brother Henry, and a sister who is a nun in the Ursaline Convent in Delaware.

The family ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Jesus Our Hope Retreat Facility, 10519 S. Deer Creek Rd, Littleton, CO 80127.
