She was the daughter of the late Van and Bernice Hamaker of Banks.
Mrs. Batie was retired from AT &T and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Little Rock. Even though she was retired from AT&T, her true profession was a caring daughter, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Raymond Batie; one son, Mike Batie and wife, Nancy, of Little Rock; two daughters, Becky Thomas and husband, Mary, of Little Rock, and Mona Koehler and husband, Ralph, of North Little Rock; 6 grandchildren, Mary, Sarah and Carrie Batie of Little Rock and Adam, Katie and Anna Koehler of North Little Rock; one brother, Lester Hamaker of Little Rock; and one sister, Bettye Smith of Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Van and Bernice Hamaker, and one sister, Perry Dewitt.
A celebration of her life was held Sunday, October 6, at Griffin-Leggett Forest Hills. Interment was in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
