Frederick C. Stockmaster, 80, of 2115 Cul-de-sac, Elkhart, died Thursday at home, after apparently suffering a heart attack. He was found about 1 PM Thursday by a granddaughter.
He was born Oct. 26,1900 in Cicero, IN, and married Hazel Ackerman Jan 26, 1926, in Corydon, IN. She died Jan. 14, 1981.

Surviving are four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death. Also two daughters; Martha Burritt, Elkhart died Jan. 22, 1981, and Mary Blough, New York, died Aug. 11, 1965.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Blocker Harris Funeral Home, where services will be at 1 PM Saturday. The Rev. James Dance, pastor of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Violet Cemetery.

He was a resident of the Goshen and Elkhart areas for 40 years, and retired from Rieth Riley Construction Co. Prior to that he was a highway engineer for the State of Indiana. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Goshen Moose Lodge, and Posey Masonic Lodge 188, Leavenworth, IN
