She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late Donald and Eleanor Crowder Justice Kelly Jr. Mary Ruth was a homemaker and attended the East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, C.J. "Mikey" Kelly and Donnie Kelly III.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha and Mike Riddle, of Elizabethton, and Christy and Randy Burgin, of Johnson City; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Keith "Butch" and Sandy Kelly, of Idaho, Bryan Kelly and Kenneth "Pete" Kelly, both of Johnson City; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Kim Grainger, of Johnson City, Sharon and Dale Furches, of Jonesborough, and Enola and Joe Sluder, of Roan Mountain; five grandchildren, Victoria Jones, Cassie Burgin, Lexy, Mikey and Jayden Riddle; several nieces and nephews; her loving companion of thirteen years, Cliff Eads, of Johnson City.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, August 23, 2007, at the Sinking Creek Baptist Church at 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Minister Brent Nidiffer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Friday, August 24, 2007, at the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
