Mr. John L. Hill, 91, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at his residence.
Mr. Hill was a native of Elizabethton, TN. He was the son of the late David and Ollie Hammit Hill. Mr. Hill served in the US Navy from 1942-1945. He retired as Plant Manager from Travel Trailer Industry after 36 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and working on computers, planes and his granddaughters.

He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Lois Katherine Lowe Hill and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Sue Hill Early and her husband Gary; grandchildren, Ashley Gaugler Chaney and her fiancée Ed, and Kimberly Gaugler and her fiancée John; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Emerie Chaney; special k9, Bo. The family would like to extend a special thank you to John's caregivers for their love and compassion, and to Southern Care Hospice.

The family of Mr. John L. Hill will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM with Dr. Wayne White officiating.

The graveside committal service will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The Boone Dam Post # 4933 will accord military honors.
