Husband of Martha Evans Allen. His exact date of birth and death is not known. Father of John Wesley Allen and several other children, including **"possibly"** (George) Thomas "Calvin" Allen. He apparently died some time before the 1850 Census in Hickman County, KY as his wife Martha is listed as head of household with their children that year and in 1860. (KY Death Cert of his son John Wesley Allen confirms the parents' names.) Census records confirm the names of children. Martha may have died in the yellow Fever epidemic in 1878, however her exact date of death is not known.

They both **may** be buried near other Allen kin in Hickman Cemetery. Their memorials are posted to assist descendants/researchers (including myself) to further research and verify this family line as to: 1) whether he was father of Thomas "Calvin" Allen (who may have been named George Thomas Allen)...and 2) where was he actually born and when? UPDATE 2019: There is an Anderson Addison Allen listed on the rolls of the Mexican-American War 1846-1848 from Tennessee. That Anderson Allen was a Private in the 3rd TN Infanty, Company C under Captain Chambliss; mustered in 1847 in Nashville, went to Mexico City until Treaty of Hidalgo signed; mustered out July 1848 in Memphis. Possibly moved to Kentucky shortly after, or it may be a different Anderson Allen.
