Ronald Allen Armstrong, Sr. 78, of Thorntons Mill Rd, Red House, died Saturday February 2, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Betty Armstrong. Born on March 4, 1934 he was a son of the late Maybell Spencer and Elwood Roscoe Armstrong. He was devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a member of Midway Baptist Church. In addition to his wife Betty, Ronald is survived by four children, Ronald Allen Armstrong Jr. and his wife Anna of Crandall, TX, Connie A. Osbeck and her husband Scotty of Red House, Elwood Mark Armstrong and Jeffrey Lewis Armstrong, both of Knightdale, NC; two brothers, Elwood Roscoe "Jr" Armstrong, Jr. and his wife Pat, and William Thomas "Billy" Armstrong both of Columbia NC; one sister, Carol Ann Woodley and her husband Floyd of Plymouth, NC; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Midway Baptist Church, by the Rev. Joey Anthony. The family will receive friends at the residence.
