James W. Arnall Jr., 76, St. Simons Island, Georgia, died June 26, 2002. He was born March 2, 1926 in Fulton County, the son of James W. and Francis Hardy Arnall Sr. He was a native of Senoia and served in the United States Marine
Corps from 1944 to 1946, participating in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1948 in journalism. He worked for the Associated Press for a number of years and then for Mercer University as Director of Public Relations. He returned to Senoia in 1982 and was the editor of the Hartsfield Airport Newspaper until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Simons Baptist Church.
Graveside services were at the Senoia Cemetery. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, was in charge.
