Marie L. N. (Allen) Jeffers, 92, of Lynn, passed away early Sunday, June 03, 2007 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital.

She was born October 19, 1914 in Randolph County to the late Addison and Mary (Stock) Moore. She spent most of her life in Randolph County. She graduated from Spartanburg High School 1933. She worked as a practical nurse at Lamb Nursing Home and went on to retire from Randolph County Hospital as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Lynn Friends Church and a former member of Peace Valley Friends Church. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and puzzles.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Harriett Johnson of Springs, TX; two sons, Doyle Allen (wife Pat) of Winchester, IN and Darrell Allen (wife Maleah) of Fairborn, OH; two step-daughters, Twila Bowser (husband Jim) of New Haven, IN, and Charlotte Bleill (husband Jack) of Fountain City, IN; and a step-son, Emory Jeffers (wife Linda) of Ft. Wayne, IN; 15 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Allen in 1968, her second husband, Donal Jeffers in 1982, two daughters, Wilma J. Grubbs, and Mary A. Saunders, a step-daughter, Rochelle Woodall, and six sisters, and three brothers.

A funeral service to celebrate Marie's life will be 1pm Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Thomas Memorial Chapel at 108 E. Sherman Street in Lynn, IN. Burial will follow in Spartanburg Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4 to 8pm Tuesday at Thomas Memorial Chapel.

Memorial Contributions can be given to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Lynn Friends Church through the funeral home.
