Dakota "Cody" Patrick Avery, age 17, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012. Cody was a Junior at Hart County High School, enjoyed playing drums and was a member of Lonoke Baptist Church. Survivors include mother: Stacey Carroll (Adam), Munfordville, KY; father: Timmy Avery (Shemiah), Munfordville, KY; one brother: Ryan Michael Avery, Munfordville, KY; two step sisters: Makayla Knackstedt & Rylee Knackstedt both of Munfordville, KY; grandparents: Richard & Jeanie Rucker and Laymon & Gladys Avery both of Munfordville, KY; step grandparents: David & Connie Denney, Munfordville, KY, Keith & Kathy Carroll, Bee Spring, KY; great grandparents: Dorothy Rucker, Pearline Dennis, Lenora Meredith all of Munfordville, KY; aunts & uncles: Patrick Avery, Munfordville, KY, J.D. & Michelle Denney, Munfordville, KY, Sherrezz Crean (James), Denton, TX, Landon & Ashton Carroll, Bee Spring, KY, Brandon & Beth Carroll, Brownsville, KY; several cousins, great aunts and uncles a beloved girlfriend, Abby Harper, Munfordville, KY. Preceded in death by great grandparents, Theordore Rucker, Joe Henry Dennis, Fid Meredith, Richard & Maude Avery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 and from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Lenny Hogan officiating. Interment will be at Cub Run Cemetery, Cub Run, KY. Memorial donations can be made to the Cody Avery Family, c/o Brooks Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
