Jacob served in the Confederate States Army, 41st Tenn Inf Co B. Wounded Three times. Captured at Fort Donelson, exchanged Three months later. Fought at the battles of Shiloh, Chickamauga, Franklin, Stones River and Nashville. Surrendered at Bennetsville South Carolina with the regiment.
