Thorsten Gaberial Andersson was born in Harna,Grovared parrish, Vastragotland,Sweden. He was the youngest of 4 children. In Aug of 1898 his mother Mathildia, Sister Johanna (Hanna)and Thorsten started their journey. They arrived in Boston Harbor aboard the SS New England of the Dominion Lines. Brother Charles Turnquist (Carl Rupert Tornqvist) meet them and they settled in Lowell, Massachusetts with Charles and Cousin Gustav R Andreson. Thorsten's name changed to his currant Englund the same as his brother Thodore's. Thorsten finished school and went to work in the corodery factory, where Elizabeth worked in the office. They married and two daughters joined the family. Eleanor arrived in 1922, followed by Lillian 1n 1924. Thorsten's parents lived with him until their deaths. Father Samuel Andersson joined his family in America in 1901 In about 1928 Thorsten was sent to open a new textile factory in Alabama then the depression hit and the family came back to Lowell. He retired in Connecticut.
