Mr. Bell was born Sept. 14, 1958, in Houston, TX., to Julia and John Bell Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Carla; one daughter, Jessica Rae; one son, Constantine; his mother, Julia; one sister, Cynthia Bell-Booker; and his grandparents, the Rev. and Mrs. W. S. Lee.
A service was held Thursday at First Southern Baptist Church in Avondale.
