Alice Anderson-Kerr, 81, Drayton, died Friday, June 10, 2005 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Alice Betty Jean Widstrand was born in Skane Township, rural Kennedy, on Aug. 15, 1923 to Peter and Betty (Rydberg) Widstrand. She grew up near Kennedy and graduated from Kennedy High School.
On Sept. 27, 1942 she married Arnold Anderson of Teien Township, near Drayton. They had three daughters. Arnold died in 1989. Alice married Glenn Kerr on May 16, 1999 in Drayton. She has been a long time member of Skjeberg Lutheran Church and member of the WELCA.
Family members include her husband Glenn; two daughters, Delayne (Jim) Halcrow, Drayton and Janeen (Dave) Schubert, Peoria, Ariz.; grandchildren, Erin and Lindsey Halcrow and Alison and Benjamin Schubert; sisters-in-law, Katherine Widstrand, Blaine; Lavonne Anderson and Doreen Anderson both of Drayton; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; daughter, Sharon; four brothers, Leonard, Arnold, Ray and Roy; and two infant sisters.
Funeral services were Monday, June 13, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Skjeberg Lutheran Church, rural Drayton. Interment was in the Skjeberg Cemetery.
Rev. Ben Carlsen presided and Marlys Nelson was organist. Pallbearers were Roger Anderson, Keith Dziengel, Jeff Anderson, Sevrin Anderson, Peter Widstrand and Ray Widstrand.
Adamson-Austin Funeral Home, Drayton, assisted the family with arrangements.
