Beatrice (Borisas or Barisas) Waskevich was my paternal grandmother. She came to this country from Vilna (aka/Vilnius) Lithuania in the late 1800's. She was married to Joseph Waskevich. They had four children, Albin D. Waskevich, husband of Loretta N.(Mitchell) (Waskevich) Groleau; Constance P. (Waskevich) Berger, wife of Gerald Berger; Natalie S. (Waskevich)Tarkiainen, wife of Arvid A. Tarkiainen, and Angela M.(Waskevich) (Statias) Stashis, wife of Vitaught (Statias) Stashis.

I believe she also had 2 grandchildren at the time of her death.

I'm looking forward to meeting you someday Gramma. We'll all have a wonderful reunion.

Love,
Susan

After doing some research, I came across my cousin Alan and wrote to him. He was sooo happy to hear from me! I talked to my brother and we invited him to his Fourth of July cookout. We all looked forward so very much to seeing him again. It had been too many years to remember since I had last seen him and I never thought I'd see him again. We talked and he said that he had some pictures that he thought I'd like to have/see. Well, the picture here is one he gave me. It's the only picture that I've ever seen of my grandmother! Imagine my joy at seeing it! He also gave me more pictures of my dad, who I barely had any of and some other family pictures that meant so much to me. I'll never be able to express my gratitude to him as much as I'd like to but this all meant so much to me and yes, we'll be getting together more often than every 47 years.
God bless you Alan, Kathleen and Barbara, as He blessed me with seeing you again.
Love,
Susan
