Longtime Eckert, Colorado resident, Edward C. Anderson, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013, at his residence. He was 67 years of age.

Edward Carroll Anderson was born on January 1, 1946 to Carroll Jesse (Wells) Anderson in Grand Junction, Colorado. He grew up in Austin, Colorado and attended Fairview School in Austin through the 8th grade then he went to Delta High School where he graduated in 1964. After graduation, he attended Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado.

On October 16, 1981, Edward married Leeta J. Henderson in Hotchkiss, Colorado. They have resided in Eckert, Colorado since 1984 moving from Austin, Colorado. He was a member of St. Philip's Catholic Church in Cedaredge, Colorado.

Edward, a retired coal miner, enjoyed wood burning, scrolling, farming and horses. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, going on hunting, fishing and camping trips. But most of all, Edward enjoyed being with his children and family.

Edward is survived by his wife, Leeta Anderson of Eckert, Colorado; four sons: Wallie Fender and wife Johnna, of Delta, Colorado; Greg Fender and wife Tammy, of Madison, South Dakota; Chad Anderson and wife, Tanya of Cedaredge, Colorado and Gerren Anderson and wife Mary Ellen, of Paonia, Colorado; two daughters: Tanya LaBossiere of Cedaredge, Colorado and Vicki Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, Kaye Anderson and wife Vicki, of Dove Creek, Colorado; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers and a grandson, Junior Labossiere.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2013 at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Cedaredge, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made in Edward's memory to Cancer Care of America or to Donate Life in memory of Junior LaBossiere.
