Rosa was the daughter of Rocco Zaza and Maria (Gioscio) Zaza. Rosa was baptized February 7, 1909, at Mary Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church. Evidently she became sick as soon as she was born; the Zazas did not rush healthy babies to the baptismal font, and her baptism the day after her birth indicates a problem.

When she died, Rocco could not afford her burial, so she was buried at Old Calvary, Queens, in a section for indigents. The source of this information is a section of an unpublished manuscript, "Rocco Zaza: His Life in Italy and America", by Frank J. Zaza of Arlington, Virginia.

Interment took place April 22, 1909.
