Ferris K. "Casey" Kinghorn

Ogden -- Ferris Kay 'Casey' Kinghorn, 63, of 837 E. 5300 S., died Friday, Nov. 25, 1988 at his home of cancer.

He was born Jan. 18, 1925 in Rigby, Idaho, a son of William Ray and Myrtle Rebecca Jensen Kinghorn.

He married C. Mae Anderson on June 12, 1950 in Evanston, Wyoming.

He had lived in Ogden, California, and Idaho.

He graduated from Bonneville High School Adult Education Program in May of 1971.

He was a member of the Ogden 75th LDS Ward.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. He received the Campaign Medal and Victory Medal.

Mr. Kinghorn was the owner and operator of C.K. Body Shop.

He had served as a Boy Scout leader and as Committee Chairman. He was a member of the Golden Spike Vintage Car Club of America and the Beehive Model A Car Club of America. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are his widow of Ogden; two sons and two daughters, Roger D. Kinghorn, Audubon, N.J.; Randall G. Kinghorn, Ogden; Rhonda K. Fowler, Lander, Wyo.; Brenda Mae Donk, Ogden; one foster daughter, Kara Jones, Ogden; nine grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Ronald J. Kinghorn, Sugar City, Idaho; Vernal J. Kinghorn, Ogden; Lucille Cottle and Marlene Carson, both of Salt Lake City.

Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist & Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Robert Clark of the Ogden 75th Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations be made to the Cancer Research Department at the University of Utah Medical Center.
