August Remmert, 72, of 604 Tyler died at 12:45 a.m. yesterday at Methodist Hospital, Peoria.
Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Bethel Lutheran Church, the Rev. E.O. Koch officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 tonight at Ludwig Mortuary and 1 to 2 p.m. tomorrow in the church.
He was born June 17,1900,in Saint Peter to Fred and Emma Greisheimer Remmert. On April 20,1926, in Secor, he married Etta Seggerman, who survives.
Also surviving are three son, Gerald of Washington, Leland of Tremont and Wesley of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Laverda) Buckman of Pekin and Mrs. Kenneth (Edith) Roach of Morton; three brothers, Henry of Mount Pulaski, Walter of San Leandro, Calif., and Otto of Eureka; four sisters, Mrs. Herman (Bertha) Graumanz and Mrs. Walter (Irene) Bertram, both of Shovonier, Mrs Eric (Lena) Bahde of Saint Peter and Mrs. Cordelia Kruse of Allentown, and seven grandchildren.
A son, one daughter, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Remmert had been employed by Caterpillar Tractor Co., retiring in 1966.
Memorials may be made to the Bethel Lutheran Church organ fund.
