Mary Ann Omashel, 72, of Larksville passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 15, 2015, at the Celtic Hospice at Geisinger South Wilkes Barre.

Born May 1, 1943, in Wilkes Barre, she was the daughter of the late Mamie Omashel.

She was a graduate of Marymount High School, and a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Hills Department Store and Thomas' Market.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved companion and dear friend, Leonard Krystofosky.

Surviving are numerous cousins, including Theodore Krasnahill, Hanover Township; Ann Brodhead, Hanover Township; and Catherine Karns, Wake Forest, N.C.; and her beloved pet dogs, Lenny and Aspen.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Church, 126 Nesbitt St., Larksville.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Dallas.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612
