Marvin Russell Exendine was born Aug. 16, 1926 at Mounds, Okla., the son of Russell Exendine and Stella Woods Exendine. He died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Claremore Regional Hospital in Claremore, Okla.
Marvin grew up in Mounds and attended Mounds High School. Marvin served in the US Army 1944 - 1946 during WWII.
Marvin Exendine and Aleen Smith were married Aug. 22, 1994, at Eureka Springs, Ark.They have lived in Beggs for the past 16 years.
Marvin was employed as a heat treater with Rockwell/Boeing for the past 40 years. He retired in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale Exendine in 2003; and his first wife, Ann in 1971.
